Mozart in Vienna

The life of MOZART and his MUSIC in Vienna

Enjoy a walk along the squares, palaces and houses where Mozart lived, worked and captured the hearts of women.

Mozart was born on the 27th of January in 1756 in Salzburg.

The empress Maria Theresia invited the 6-year-old prodigy together with his older sister "Nannerl" into her castle Schönbrunn. Already at this age, he knew expertly how to play the piano at the delight of the empress and of the entire court society.

For the little "Wolferl", it was something entirely natural. The family Mozart embarked on several journeys with their kids, "Nannerl" and Wolfgang, they gave concerts in London, Paris, Milano, Padua: 6.000 km within 4 years by carriage!

His last ten years, however, Mozart decided to spend in Vienna. It was here where he composed his most important works, Don Giovanni, Cosi fan Tutte, The Wedding of Figaro and many more. His popular opera "The magic flute" has already been a great success in December 1791 before his death.

Get to know the fascinating life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during a walk, where an insight into the most beautiful spots of the old town, the Baroque Age and the music with its many faces is provided in an amusing way. The Baroque Vienna is made alive for you.
