Klosterneuburg - half-day trip

From Gablitz, you will travel through the Vienna Woods to Mauerbach (Carthusian monastery charterhouse), which today serves as the training center for the Federal Monuments Office. You will continue to Kirchbach-Hintersdorf-Gugging- to KLOSTERNEUBURG (MONASTERY of the Augustinian Canons), famous for the Verdun altar and the School of Viticulture, which is internationally renowned.

After a visit to the monastery, you will travel to the Danube in the direction of Vienna and via the Höhenstrasse to the LEOPOLDSBERG. Here you will have a beautiful view over the city of Vienna. You will then continue to the KAHLENBERG and then to Grinzing, a small, romantic wine quarter in Vienna city, especially beautiful in the evening.
