Day trip to Carnuntum

Here, you can tour a replica of part of a Roman township with a villa, merchant's home, public baths, under-floor heating system, kitchen and storage rooms, and gardens planted with vegetables and herbs. Everything is true-to-life.

The kitchens are fully functional, and you can even cook and prepare dishes. The living rooms are equipped with furniture so that you can get a good idea of the life of the Romans during the first 5 decades of the 4th century AD. Various events are also held here such as "Roman Tidbits", when your hosts cook just like back in Roman times.
